wine tasting porto

If you’re planning to visit Porto, you may be wondering where to go for wine tasting. There are many places you can go and try different types of port. Here are a few suggestions: Churchill’s, Sandeman Cellars, and Kopke. You can also try wines from Quinta de Covela.

Kopke

The Port Wine Shop is a three-story shop and tasting room that specializes in Duoro and 1638 port wines. They offer tastings and chocolate pairings, too.

Sandeman Cellars

If you’re looking for a wine tasting tour in Porto, consider visiting the Port Winery, a historic 1797 building that offers tours of port cellars and tastings. The winery is also home to a museum and gift shop.

Churchill’s

The Churchill’s wine tasting porto lodge is a visitor centre and world-class port and table wine showcase located in the ancient customs zone of Vila Nova da Gaia. The lodge welcomes guests from around the world to experience the dynamism of port trade. Visitors experience the thrill of breaking ranks in order to catch a glimpse of a passing forklift, or get lost in rows of aging barrels in a cavernous vintage tawny storage house.

Quinta De Covela

Quinta de Covela is located in the Vinho Verde region, in between the Douro and Minho rivers, and is one of Portugal’s most beautiful estates. It’s 49 acres of lands filled with gardens, orchards, and ancient buildings. The estate also has walking paths and woods. The wines here are fresh, and the main grapes are Avesso and Arinto.

Taylor’s

Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman is one of the oldest wine companies in port. It was first established in 1692 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, by Job Bearsley. By 1838, it had changed its name to Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman. It’s one of the biggest companies in port wine.

Grahams

The wine tasting at Grahams winery is an excellent way to sample the best Portuguese wines. The wines are produced in the Douro Valley, one of the oldest wine regions in the world. The wines are often described as being full of fruity tones, with a hint of figs and honey.
